Halloween 2009

We had a wonderful Halloween. Derek came home from his long trip to Asia on Saturday and we were all so excited to have him home. Barrett was Colt McCoy and Brooklyn went as a bumblebee this year for Halloween. We went trick or treating with our friends, the Walkers. All of the kids were excited. Barrett and Tate discovered they could cover more ground and get more candy the faster they went, so they were off and running. We've got so much candy at our house right now!! It was a wonderful night with our friends.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!

Barrett & Brooklyn are super excited about Halloween this year. We have a fun week of Halloween celebrations. Barrett is Colt McCoy(the UT Longhorns quarterback) and Brooklyn is still deciding between a bumble bee and a UT cheerleader. We are looking forward to trick or treating this evening and getting even more candy and treats.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We went to a pumpkin patch near our house the other day. The kids enjoyed picking out pumpkins and running through the hay maze. Its always fun to see all of the different kinds of pumpkins and squash. It was a fun fall day for us to spend together. Next up pumpkin carving.

Derek was gone last week, so the kids and I headed down to Houston for the weekend. We got to hang with my parents and Kurt, Suzy and the kids. We were able to see Grandbob and Grandmom too for a bit. We had a great time. We spend most of Saturday with Suzy and the kids at a park. It was beautiful and the kids had a blast. The story of Jonah

The other day Brooklyn was teaching us a lesson on Jonah and this how she told the story.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Jonah. And guess what? Jonah was in the fish because he made God mad. So he was inside the belly of the fish and Scooby-Doo came to the rescue. He saved the day and saved Jonah. And Jonah gave him a scooby snack for helping him. The end!

Ginger house

Brooklyn has been asking to make a ginger house for the past few months and the other day I found a Halloween gingerbread house. The kids were so excited to make it and decorate it. Of course, they really liked eating the candy. Fun times!
