Brooklyn often wants to take a bubble bath, like every day. She loves to just play in there till the water gets cold.

Book Blog
I have tried in the past to keep track of all of the books I read and I never do. So, I decided to start a blog where I will list all of the books I read and I'll put a little blurb about each one. This will help me know all of the books I have read and maybe it will help others find ideas of what to read and let me know about books I should read too.

Legos, Legos, Legos!
Barrett has always loved playing legos. He got some big sets for Christmas and has enjoyed working on them. They look pretty cool.
And even Brooklyn now has her own set of pink and purple Legos.

Robot guy and girl
Barrett's class has been talking about solids and shapes. This week he had to make a shape sculpture. He got fired up about making something. Here is the final product.

Of course, Brooklyn had to make one too.

December recap
December was a month full of fun!! Barrett and Brooklyn both had celebrations at school. We made lots of cookies and decorated a gingerbread house. We went to the Zilker tree and trail of lights.
Derek and I had our annual Christmas party. This year it was adults only and we had a wine tasting competition. It was a good time and we all enjoyed hanging out together with friends.

We went to Johnson City to see the huge light display there. It was so amzing to see all of the lights and displays.

We spent Christmas Eve together as a family here in Austin. The kids spent the night in our room and woke up very early since they were so excited to see what Santa had brought them. We spent the morning as a family opening presents, hanging out together and eating a big breakfast before we headed to Houston.

We drove to Houston on Christmas day and spent the weekend with Derek's side of the family. We had a good time together and the kids really enjoyed hanging with their cousins. We had lots of fun too!! We also got to spend some time with my parents before coming back home.

We spent the week of New Year's being lazy. We went to a party New Year's at our friends the Walker's and enjoyed ringing in the new year with friends.

We relaxed over the break and enjoyed Derek being off work. Now it is back to school and work and the routine.
